My grandfather had a Parisienne wagon. He was long past having kids to tote around at that point so I’m not sure why other than he liked him some large cars.

There’s a guy locally that seems to collect these. He has 3 of them last I drove past his place. Him, his wife, and his son drive them daily.

I can understand where your grandfather is coming from. E ver since I was in high-school I’ve liked minivans, buying my first, a VW Vanagon, when I was in college. 30+ years later I’m still driving a minivan (Mazda5 6MT) by choice after years of BMW, Porsche and MBZs , even though I don’t have any kids (to the best of my knowledge...)
I don’t need a minivan, but I like having one.

Having owned a minivan as a single guy with no kids I get that but t he strange thing is that before the Parisienne he wasn’t a wagon guy. He had a string of big Plymouth sedans, including an ex-State Patrol car with a thumping 440, paired with pickups. I can understand him abandoning Plymouth when Chrysler went all K-car but I would have thought he would have done a full-sized sedan. Nope, two big wagons. The Parisienne and a Roadmaster.
